| 'Increase
Bench Press 50 Pounds' - It CAN Be Done!
By Mike Singh
Most people
use bench press as a way to increase the strength in their chest
muscles. This page will provide you with a few tips to help you increase
tour bench press. Using a bench press will not help you lose weight
off your chest. It will, however, help you to tone and strengthen
the chest muscles and the muscles will still stay underneath the
existing fat.
You can get
rid of the fat by doing cardio exercises and following a weight
loss diet. When you are doing this chest training you lie flat on
your back so the overall strain on your body is minimized.
Before you start,
you have to train your chest first and focus on this area of your
body before training any other parts. If you don’t allow your
chest muscles to recuperate following each bench press, then you
will feel exhausted.
In order to
increase your bench press, you have to add resistance slowly but
steadily. Each time you reach a plateau, increase the resistance
by at least 10% at different times and in varying rep cycles.
First you need
to find out how much you currently bench press and multiply that
number by ten. This is the amount of resistance you need to add.
Don’t go all out in one workout.
This can result
in damage to your chest muscles or exhaustion. You should achieve
for small improvements while lowering the number of reps.
Before beginning
a workout make sure that you are using the proper form. The mechanics
is almost as important as the workout itself.
Some tips to
help you increase your bench press are:
Always warm up.
Use a grip slightly wider than that of your shoulders.
When you lie back, take a tight grip, press your shoulders back
into the bench and down towards your waist and thrust forward as
you lift.
Keep your elbows in line with the bar.
Inhale as the weight goes up and exhale as it comes down.
Following these tips will keep you injury free while you increase
your bench press.
